SP asks people to complain on cybercrimes instantly in Kurnool

Kurnool: Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli on Saturday visited Regional Cyber Forensic Lab and inspected the work progress. While interacting with the staff, he enquired about the number of cybercrimes being registered. Dr Fakkeerappa directed the staff to strive to solve more cases effectively.

He suggested them to infuse awareness among the people about the cybercrimes through videos so that they can immediately lodge complaint with police. He appealed the people to be aware from cyber frauds.

He said the bank personnel will never call and ask personal details. The other cyber frauds include, mobile tower installation, OLX frauds, face book, online, job guarantee through paper advertisements, lottery, installation of cell tower in farm lands, gift on your name, ATM card block message, linking of ATM and Aadhar card, matrimonial frauds and facilitating loans with low interests, the SP said.

The persons having problems with bank transactions should approach the concerned bank managers directly and resolve the problems if any. Under any circumstances do not open or click the unknown links forwarded through internet.

He suggested the cyber fraud victims to call cyber mitra whatsapp no 9121211100 and lodge complaint In-charge of Ecops, Raghava Reddy, SIs Venugopal Reddy, Krishna Murthy and cyber technicians were present.
