SP assures support to families of police martyrs in Kurnool
Kurnool: As part of Police Martyrs' Week, the police department in coordination with sports authority, conducted a marathon which was flagged off by the Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli from Konda Reddy Fort. MLA Hafeez Khan was the chief guest and took part in the marathon.
The marathon was started from Konda Reddy Fort and covered Kid's World, Rajvihar, Railway Station Road, State Bank circle, Children Park and returned to Konda Reddy Fort. People of all ages participated. Later a meeting was held at Police Parade grounds.
Addressing the meeting, Hafeez Khan said, `` We will stand by the family members of police martyrs.'' He said the duties of our brave soldiers on the Indian borders and the police personnel in the state are memorable. The peace we are enjoying in our society, state and country is just because of courageous soldiers and police personnel.
SP Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli said following the orders of DGP several programmes like, open house; blood donation camps and marathon were organised. About 1,500 people have donated blood at the camps and the secured blood was handed over to government general hospital.
He further said, ``We will organise candle light rally besides awareness camps. We will also visit the family members of departed soldiers of CRPF, BSF, Army and Para Military. The SP said that police are the only personnel who discharge responsibilities round the clock.
Officer On Special Duty Anjaneyulu, Additional SP (Armed Reserve) Radha Krishna, DSPs, Iliyaz Basha, Yugandhar Babu, Venkatadri, Vinod Kumar, Venkatramaiah, Mahaboob Basha, CIs D Maheshwar Reddy, Obulesu, Mulkanna, C Maheshwar Reddy, P Sri Ramulu, Reserve Inspectors, Rama Krishna, George, Siva Ramudu, Radha Krishna, Surendra Reddy, Sports Authority Association athletes and students participated in the marathon.
