SP inaugurates arms, ammunition exhibition in Kurnool

Kurnool: To mark the launch of police commemoration programme, the police department organised open house exhibition at Police Parade Ground here on Thursday. Superintendent of Police Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli, accompanied by Additional SP M Deepika Patil, has inaugurated the open house exhibition.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Fakkeerappa said that police commemoration week is organised to remember the sacrifices of the police personnel who died while discharging their responsibilities. The exhibition is being conducted as per the instructions from DGP. Arms and ammunition will be put on display and people are allowed to visit and watch.

The aim of the open house exhibition is to let the people and students know the usage of weapons by the police while on duty. The SP gave a brief descriptions on the functioning of drone camera, Falcon Vehicle, Hawk Vehicle, 207 Vajra Vehicle, race vehicle and various types of ammunitions.

He has also briefed about the function of 455 revolver, grenade, HE 36, gas grenade, rubber bullets, bomb blanket, vehicle inspection mirror, night vision, day vision equipment, binoculars, GF riffles and other weapons.

ASPs, M Deepika Patil, Radha Krishna, Legal Advisor, Mallikarjuna Rao, DSP DV Ramana Murthy, AO Suresh Babu, Special Branch CI Vasu Krishna, Sakthi team in-charge Adi Lakshmi, PA, Ranga Swamy, students of Sri Lakshmi, KNR, and Sister Stanslas were present.
