Vrushabhotsavam held at Vidyapeetha in Tirupati

Tirupati: The Vrushbhotsavam (celebration of bulls) was held at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) under the aegis of its NSS unit and Tirupati ISKCON. After performing puja to bulls, the Vice Chancellor Prof V Muralidhara Sharma advocated the importance of avoiding the use of plastic as it affects the animal health.

One who uses Vrushabha and plough for cultivation and bullock cart should be honoured. No artificial semen should be injected to the cow because with that the identity of the cow and vrushabha will not be known, he said.

In this programme Registrar of RSVP Prof GSR Krishna Murthy, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof R Sadasiva Murthy, Sahitya Dean Prof Ch P Satyanarayana, Education Dean Prof Prahlad Joshi, NSS Co-ordinator Prof Satyanarayan Acharya, TTD Chief Audit Officer Seshssailendra, other NSS POs Chandulal, Kalyan Sastry and Leenachandra and students attended the programme.
