BC Association leaders burn minister's effigy

Musheerabad: Members of the State BC Welfare Association and several BC students' organisations on Thursday set fire to an effigy of Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy in Vidyanagar to protest against the irregularities in the Intermediate marks fiasco which affected thousands of students.

Association leaders Gutta Krishna and Vemula Ramakrishna, who led the protest, warned that they would lay siege to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's office-cum-residence 'Pragati Bhavan' if the demands were not conceded. He said that their demands include immediate dismissal of Intermediate Board's secretary Ashok and arrest of the representatives of Globarena Tech.

Among those who participated in the protest were BC Vidyarthi national general secretary Gajender, BC Students' Association secretary Byro Ganesh, State SC, ST, BC Students' Association general secretary Ambarpet Tirupati, Shiva, Naveen, Naresh Goud.
