Collector MV Reddy exhorts teachers to take inspiration from Prof Jayashankar
Uppal: Medchal district collector MV Reddy urged teachers to emulate Professor Jayashankar in propagation values to students. He was speaking at 'Professor Jayashankar Badi Bata' program at ZPHS school at Chilaka Nagar on Tuesday. MLC Janardhan Reddy, MLA Bethi Subash Reddy, DEO Vijaya Kumari, RDO Lachi Reddy and Uppal municipal commissioner Krishna Shekhar attended the program.
Speaking on the occasion, the district collector remembered his school days when the schools had meagre facilities but students listened to their teachers who taught with utmost dedication. In order to succeed in life, one needs to have strong resolve, confidence to achieve their goals and hard work, he advised students. He explained students how discipline can help them realize their goals.
Bethi Subash Reddy explained various government measures to strengthen education in the state. He said that the government would strive to ensure that quality education is provided in the government schools. He said that the government schools have better infrastructure and play grounds and urged students to give priority to sports apart from academics. He asked people to come forward to adopt government schools to provide quality education to poor students.
On this occasion, students presented saplings to the chief guests who attended the program. MLA and district collector planted saplings in the school premises. Teaching and non-teaching staff of the schools and students participated in the program.
