Dr Gita Nagasri presented Vaidya Shiromani 2019

Khairatabad: Noted cancer surgeon Gita Nagasri was given Vaidya Shiromani Award-2019 for her services in eliminating cancer. Health Minister Eatela Rajender presented her the award at a programme organised by Telangana citizens council, a voluntary organisation, to observe breast cancer day at Ravindra Bharathi on Friday.

Dr Gita Nagasri founded Ashwini Cancer Care Foundation and strived for elimination of breast cancer. Dr Gita expressed her happiness over the award and promised to continue her services with dedication.

Former Union Minister Dr Venugopalachari, Telangana language and culture department director Mamidi Harikrishna, the council president Dr Raj Narayan, secretary general Dr Hemanth Kumar, Vishwambara Arya and others attended the programme.
