Student Federation of India sets govt effigy on fire

Hayatnagar: Student Federation of India (SFI), Abdullapurmet Committee burnt effigy of government near Mother Diary here on Thursday demanding solution to RTC workers problems.

SFI president G Shiva Kumar and secretary K Nagender criticised government for its adamant attitude. "Students are facing hardships for want of bus services. The government should have meeting with RTC workers.

The indefinite strike of RTC workers reached 20 days. But, the government is rendering deaf ear to their problems," the duo added. Student activists Mahesh, Lakshman, Venkatesh, Naresh, Kalyani, Hema Latha, Sowjanya, Kishore and others were present.
