Army shud be called in and curfew imposed in rest of affected areas immediately
Am writing to Hon'ble HM to this effect
Violence erupted in several areas of North-east Delhi on Monday and continued into late Tuesday. Shoot at sight orders were issued in certain areas on Tuesday night, according to media reports. Many parts of North-east Delhi continue to be tense, as the national capital limps back to normalcy.
Arvind Kejriwal's stance is also seen as a neutral position in the circumstances. The Delhi Chief Minister has come in for a lot of criticism for inaction despite having been elected with a massive mandate in the recently concluded elections.
However, Arvind Kejriwal has pointed out that the Delhi Police is controlled by the Home Ministry. The Delhi Chief Minister has stated that his hands are tied. In the circumstances, his call for army intervention and for curfew to be imposed in the rest of the affected areas immediately, puts him in better light in the eyes of the people, as well.
