Sub-Collector felicitates senior citizens
Narsapuram: Sub-Collector Sumit Kumar Gandhi has called upon the youth to register their names as voters after attaining the age of 18 years. He addressed a meeting organised on National Voters Day held at Mission High School in Narsapuram on Thursday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Sub-Collector said that youth are the future of the country. He suggested the youth to get their voter photo identity card after enrolling their name in the electoral rolls. The official also distributed prizes and merit certificates to the winners of various competitions, felicitated the senior voters on the occasion and distributed photo identity cards to the new voters.
Mandal Tahsildar G Suryanarayana Reddy, Municipal Commissioner S Venkata Ramana, Head Mistress V Mary, ASRA Murthy, NSS officers Dr M Nageswara Rao and S Yacob and others participated in the event. Earlier, the youth and voters conducted a rally in the town. The Mandal Tahsildar, G Suryanarayana Reddy and Municipal Commissioner S Venkata Ramana flagged off the rally.
The rally went on the main streets of the town and reached Mission High School. Later, Deputy DMHO G Padmajarani conducted a blood donation camp at Sub-Collector’s office.
