Act against govt land grabbers, Sub-Collector orders officials

Narsapuram: Sub-Collector Sumit Kumar Gandhi has directed the officials to take immediate action against the encroachers of government lands and canal bunds. He conducted ‘Mee Kosam’ grievance redressal cell at his office here on Monday. The Sub Collector said that during the ‘Mee Kosam’ programme about 45 persons represented on various problems. He said, “Every representation will be scrutinised and redress those representations immediately by concerned officials.”

Complainants Ravi Brahmaji, KT Nayudu, Kommula Veerabhadra Rao of Kopparru village of Narsapuram mandal complained to the Sub Collector that a godown has been constructed with cement bricks by a person who took over the drain bund in the village. When asked, the owner of the godown had abused them had refused to clear the premises. Due to the encroachment, the farmers have no alternative to go to their fields. The Sub-Collector directed irrigation officials to take immediate action in this regard.

Polisetty Madhusudan, Kunkatu Lakshmikantha Rao, Pothumudi Musalaiah, Kappala Sundara Rao and Chinnamilli Veerababu requested the Sub-Collector to shift the Market from the Zilla Parishad High School to another place in Kopparru village. They stated that as the market was adjacent to the ZP High School and the raised compound wall caused poor lighting and ventilation to the students. K Satyanarayana of Mogalturu represented to control the stray dogs and pigs in the village.
