‘Andhra Bank pioneer in social service activities’

Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Bank is pioneer in conducting social service activities in banking sector in the country, and is continuing its service to the needy in society, said bank's executive director Ajit Kumar Rath. The banking sector will march ahead by overcoming the existing problems, he hoped.

Inaugurating a training centre on the premises of Andhra Bank Rural Development Centre at Alcot Gardens here on Thursday, he said that the training centre was set up by spending an amount of Rs 1.79 crore. The Andhra Bank would provide necessary loans to agriculture sector which is the backbone of the country. Andhra Bank was competing with all main banks in the country and marching ahead in all fronts. 

The bank was providing latest facilities to its customers across the country and trying to introduce advanced technology for the benefit customers, he added. He opined that the general budget encourages banking sector in the country. Andhra Bank rural development wing general manager M Satyanarayana, Visakhapatnam circle general manager Syamal Gosh Roy, deputy general manager P Bhaskar Rao, rural development centre director S Subbadas, branch managers and others were present.
