KCT holds free dental, eye camps

Rajamahendravaram: Kesavabhatla Charitable Trust (KCT) has conducted a free mega dental and eye camp in VAMBAY Colony of 16th division here on Sunday. The doctors examined Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Vegesna Vijayarama Raju in the medical camp to mark beginning of the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that conducting free medical camps was a boon to the poor and advised KCT founder K Srinivasa Rao to organise free medical camps in cardiology, urology, nephrology, neurology, ortho etc as many people had been suffering with the ailments. The RMC would extend necessary help to the organisers in this regard and said Non-Governmental Organizations should also come forward to help the needy by conducting many camps in the medical field.

The KCT chairman, KS Rao said that so far 32,000 glasses were supplied freely to the people after conducting eye camps in and around the city. Plans were on the cards to expand the services to the needy.

Akira Eye Hospital chief Dr N Prabhakar Rao, Neela Jeeyar Hospital chief Dr P Kesava Swamy, Dentist and Dontist Hospital chief Dr Samuel, Spa Health Care organiser K Ramesh and members of Parama Hamsa Yogananda Netralaya and LV Prasad Eye Hospital staff examined the patients. Corporator Kilparthi Srinivasa Rao, NCC group training officer Colonel B Satya, captain Sailaja, Challa Satyavani, KCT members and others were present.
