Mega free medical camp organised

 Rajamahendravaram: Kesavabhatla Charitable Trust (KCT) has conducted a mega free medical camp in Dowleswaram here on Sunday, in which hundreds of patients were examined to detect ailments relating to ophthalmology, dental and general medicine. Akira Eye Hospital, Parama Hamsa Yogananda Eye Hospital, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Neela Jeyar Hospital, Dentist and Dontist hospital doctors examined the patients.

Participating in the medical camp, former MLA Chandana Ramesh said that KCT was serving the needy for three decades and doing a yeomen service. He assured to extend his help to the trust to its future services and asked the trust management to continue the service for the poor in future also.

Dowleswaram former sarpanch Pinnimti Ekababu said KCT had earlier conducted free medical camps and helped the poor.KCT chairman Kesavabhatla Srinivasa Rao informed that Rs 2,000 worth of tests were conducted to the patients and medicines were distributed freely. 

So far, the trust distributed eye glasses to 32,500 patients free of cost and cataract surgeries were performed to 750 patients without fee. Plans are afoot to expand its services to other parts of the city also shortly, he added.
