Pamphlet on benefits of fish products released

Eluru: West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar directed the fisheries officials to set up kiosks in main centres in the district to sell the quality fish, prawn and crabs.He released pamphlets published on the benefits of fish products by fisheries department at Collectorate here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that a kiosk would be inaugurated at Fisheries office on Wednesday. He directed the deputy director of fisheries, Anjali to make available the quality fish products in this kiosk. He also directed him to take up a scheme to supply quality fresh aqua products through 150 mobile vehicles to the public.

Fisheries Deputy Director Anjali said that the kiosk at Fisheries office would be inaugurated by Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao (Bujji). The fresh water and sea water fishes, prawns and crabs would be made available to the people in this kiosk.

 She said that the department would provide the dressing facility of the aqua products.Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy also participated in the programme.
