Ministers flag off 5-K Run

Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has said that games are essential not only for personality development but also for recreation.  Somireddy Reddy, along with Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, participated in the run in the city on Sunday.

Students and people from all walks of life participated in the run organised by the district administration as part of Janmabhoomi. Ministers Somireddy and Narayana flagged off the run at ABM compound here.   Minister Chandramohan Reddy said that the role of sports has significance in maintaining good health.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had included the activity in the Janmabhoomi-Mavooru’ programme,’ Government has been organising various programmes as part of ‘Happy Sunday’, he added. NUDA Chairman K Srinivasulu Reddy, MLC B Ravi Chandra, Joint Collector A Md Imtiyaz Ahmed, DMHO C Varasundaram, DSDO Ramanaiah, City DSP NBM Murali Krishna and others were present.
