3 crore sanctioned for 3-day Gandikota fest

Kadapa: Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy has said Gandikota celebrations will be performed from January 21 to 23 in the district. He stated a ropeway was set up at Gandikota with Rs 7.5 crore to attract more tourists for the 3-day festival. 

He further said the government has sanctioned Rs 3 crore for organising the celebrations on a grand scale. District Collector T Baburao Naidu said special committees will be formed for making success of Gandikota celebrations.

He directed the officials concerned to give top priority for local artistes in the event. Earlier, the Minister has distributed prizes and citation certificates to those who showed best performance in the Janmabhoomi programme here on Friday.
