Gurukul School celebrates Flowers Day

Tirupati: ‘Flowers Day’ and ‘Swachh Survekshan’ were celebrated by the students of Gurukul English Medium School here on Sunday, with stress on maintenance of clean and hygienic conditions on the premises.

The students prepared flowers made of raddish, carrot, beetroot, cucumber, papaya, lemon. Their display impressed the gathering. There was active participation of the school management, staff and students.

Staff of the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati has conducted Swachh Survekshan programme with the objective of educating the people on segregation of waste.

Regional Fire Officer R Gnana Sundaraman, who was the chief guest, explained how air pollution can be checked by maintaining hygienic conditions, besides the do’s and dont’s by people, including students. He emphasised the need and importance of protecting the environment.
