Ambedkar a role model:ONGC official

Rajamahendravaram: ONGC Rajahmundry Asset Manager DMR Sekhar paid homage to Dr B R Ambedkar by garlanding his statue at the Ambedkar Park in the Base Complex of the ONGC here on Saturday. He was accompanied by Durga Bhavani Sekhar, President of ONGC Officers’ Mahila Samiti.

Later, they jointly inaugurated the 16th mega blood donation camp and distributed financial assistance and occupational equipment worth Rs 33 lakhs to beneficiaries under the SC-ST Component Plan. Over 175 donated blood at the mega camp. The donors were presented with a memento and energy kits.

Sekhar said that Dr B R Ambedkar was a role model and his struggles, ideology and writings are researched in all universities across the world.  Later, he highlighted the contribution of Dr Ambedkar on bringing gender equality through Hindu Code Bill in 1950s.
