Kadapa: Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy said that state development is possible only with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as he is making efforts to implement the welfare schemes from grassroot level.

Addressing the gathering after flagging off cycle rally at Tallaproddatur village in Kondapuram mandal, Adinarayana said the Chief Minister is committed to implement welfare schemes for the benefit of poor and weaker sections of the state despite government is facing severe financial hurdles.

While defending the TDP’s decision to break the alliance with the BJP-led NDA government, the Minister made Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for alliance break-up as he failed to grant Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

He recalled that during 2014 electioneering at a public meeting in Tirupati, Narendra Modi had promised the people of bifurcated Andhra Pradesh that he would accord SCS for 10 years after his party voted to power in the elections.

He criticised the BJP for diluting the SCS by offering special package to the State. Even, the BJP had failed to implement special package in toto, he stated. Reddy further said that the Chief Minister has waited for four years expecting the BJP will fulfil bifurcation promises.

Apart from deceiving the State, the Modi government is trying to create political unrest by encouraging opposition parties. “We have no option but to break political alliance with the BJP to prevent further damage.

YSRCP is trying to defame the TD government by entering into a secret understanding with the BJP for political advantage,” he criticised. TDP district president R Srinivasulu Reddy, who organised cycle yatra in Kadapa city, said the people are waiting to teach a lesson to the BJP in the next polls.
