Efforts on to reduce crime rate: Home Minister
Kurnool: Home Minister Nimmakayala China Rajappa said that his government is strengthening the law and order in the State by using latest technology. Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy, District Collector S Satyanarayana and SP Gopinath Jetty, the Home Minister launched ‘Falcon Mobile Command Post’ vehicle at Police Parade Grounds here on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media, the Home Minister said the Falcon mobile vehicle will help to track the whereabouts of the anti-social elements. Cameras with modern technology are fixed to the vehicle which will detect the crimes prior to taking place. Around 18 vehicles have been planned to launch across the State. As of now, the vehicles have been allocated to four districts, he stated.
Krishnamurthy said that the Falcon mobile vehicle is equipped with latest technology. The services of this vehicle would be utilised during VVIPs visit, for festivals and public meetings.
The vehicle would make a big siren when criminals are detected loitering in its surroundings, he explained. City MLA SV Mohan Reddy, Rayalaseema Range IG Mohammed Iqbal, Kurnool Range DIG G Srinivas, KUDA Chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu and other police officials were present.
