Isolated rain forecast for State

Hyderabad: Thunderstorms with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in all districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on Monday, the Met department bulletin said. 

There was rain at isolated places in the coastal and Rayalaseema districts, with Pathapatnam in Srikakulam district recording 2 cm of rain and Atmakur and Pamidi (Anantapur) 1 cm each. The highest day temperature of 42 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jangamaheswarapuram.

According to the forecast, the maximum temperatures are likely to be around 40 to 43 degrees Celsius in some parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on May 22.  

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in the State from May 22 to 25. No large change during the period May 26-28 is the weather outlook.
