Biopic a real tribute to NTR: Balakrishna

Vijayawada: Film actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna said that he would pay real tribute to his father and TDP founder N T Rama Rao by completing his biopic.

Addressing the gathering on the second day of Mahanadu here on Monday, he said that it was a unique opportunity for him to portray the role of his father who was loved by Telugu people. 

Expressing thanks to God for providing him such an opportunity, he said that no son on earth had such a privilege. He pointed out that NTR established the Telugu Desam Party for the development of poorer sections in the society.

He said that those representing the backward classes were also enjoying power due to the efforts of NTR. He recalled that NTR had introduced several welfare schemes and people believed that he was their God. He pointed out that NTR also played a key role in national politics.

Balakrishna urged the TDP activists to gear up for the elections as there was just one year left. He said the TDP derived strength from its dedicated party workers.

He called upon people to teach a lesson to the BJP-led NDA government which had failed to fulfil the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act-2014. He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was fighting against the Centre to protect the rights of Andhra Pradesh.
