Land allotted to Central University inspected

Anantapur: District Collector Veera Pandian has inspected the site allotted to setting up of the Central University and for construction of permanent buildings at Janthulur village in Bukkarayasamudram mandal on Wednesday. 

It may be recalled that the Union Cabinet had given the nod for the establishment of the Central University in Anantapur as part of a package under the AP Reorganisation Act. The Collector discussed with officials on the need to start the construction of buildings.

The Collector already held discussions with SKU Registrar Sudhakar Babu on temporarily accommodating the university classes in its premises as the university is being launched from 2018-19 academic year onwards.
