Making AP corruption-free is CM’s dream: Siddha

Ongole: Minister for forests and environment Siddha Raghava Rao announced that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is taking every step to make the state as a corruption-free state. Inaugurating the office of Anti-Corruption Bureau, built with Rs 1.29 crore budget here on Monday, the minister said Naidu strengthened the ACB to keep an eye on people involved in implementation of development and welfare programmes.

He said that earlier, the ACB office used to be in the state headquarters only but now the government is constructing offices in 11 of the 13 district headquarters with a budget of Rs 16 crore. He praised Naidu for using the Facebook, twitter and 1100 toll free number for redressing the public issues. He asked the ACB officials to act transparent and keep the confidence of poor people.

ACB joint director Harikumar said that stringent action will be taken on the corrupt officers in the state and protect the officials working transparently. He thanked Naidu for releasing Rs 16 crore for building new offices for department and sanctioning 350 posts for strengthening it. He said their nets were strong and no corrupt big fish will be left in the state.

He warned the officials that their assets will be seized if they are found guilty of corruption. Santhanutalapadu MLA Adimulapu Suresh, MLC Karanam Balaram, IG Sankarabrata Bagchi, ACB DG RP Thakur, SP BS Yesu Babu, ACB DSP Thota Prabhaakr and Ongole DSP B Srinivasa Rao participated in the programme.
