Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government had sanctioned necessary funds for conducting Eruwaka programme.

The farmers have the option either to spray seeds or use machines for starting the agriculture activity as per government aspirations.

The plan involving 25,300 farmers in farm activity in an extent of 15,180 hectares should be implemented foolproof. Assistant directors of agriculture should take initiative in this regard.

Work relating to preparation of the seedbeds was completed 10 per cent and the remaining should be readied within next seven days.

He warned the fodder growers against taking up other activities rather than fodder cultivation.

The Collector said that the fodder centres were availing subsidies and therefore not  supposed to grow other than fodder. Social audit would also be conducted in this regard.

Increase in milk procurement and reopening of bulk milk chilling centres were high on the agenda. The government was serious about the poor performance officials in launching dairy plant at G Kothapalli.

He asked marketing officials to take steps to launch Rytu Bazaars at Lingampalem, Nallagerla, Dendulur and Mogalturu within a week.
