Nannapaneni inspects Chittoor Govt Hospital
Chittoor: Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari visited Government Hospital and District Jail here on Sunday . She interacted with patients in Maternity ward, CGH and enquired about the treatment given to them. Many of the woman patients complained that many of the doctors were treating them with negligence and some nursing staff of the maternity ward were demanding bribes.
She directed Dr Saralamma , DCH , Chittoor Government Hospital to be serious over the complaints of the patients and take necessary action in this regard. `` The Government has provided all facilities in the maternity ward deputing senior medical officers for clinical and surgical treatments. It is the need of the hour to remove corrupt practices and the doctors should change their mindset,” she said.
She stressed that Government was very particular for achieving zero percent child and mother mortality in the state. She made it clear that Government was not going to compromise to entertain such corrupt practices in the hospitals. Rajakumari visited various wards in the Government Hospital and interacted with patients.
Earlier, she visited Chittoor District Jail and enquired about the working conditions of the jail particularly the woman prisoners. She stressed that the authorities concerned should ensure proper security and treatment to the woman prisoners. Chittoor Mayor K Hemalatha, TDP leaders Rajeswari, Chittoor Government Hospital Superintendent Dr.Pandu Rangaiah, DCH Dr Saraladevi and others were present.
