Make Prakasam district free from malaria, dengue: AJC D Markandeyulu

Ongole: The district administration should take initiative and make all arrangements to make the Prakasam district free from malaria, dengue and other seasonal diseases, ordered the District Additional Joint Collector D Markandeyulu, on Friday.

He organised a review meeting with related departments to prepare an action plan to fight seasonal diseases in the district.

He ordered the officials to maintain sanitation, control breeding of mosquitoes and keep every place in the villages and town neat and clean. 

He ordered them to see no water logged in the residential areas, supply mosquito coils and mosquito nets to children in hostels, release Gambusia fish in the water logged pits and throw oil balls in them to kill mosquitoes. 

He ordered the officials to spray DDT between flower plants and encourage public to use mosquito nets regularly to avoid any dengue and malaria cases in the district.
