Tirupati: Former Tirupati MP V Varaprasad lambasted the TDP for its failure in getting any benefits from the Centre during the last four years. Speaking to the media in Tirupati on Sunday, he criticised that TDP  failed miserably during the discussion on no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha.

“MP Jayadev was saying that Centre has not fulfilled even 2-3 percent of the total assurances. Is it not the failure of TDP government in getting its due from the Centre? Why are you silent during all these years when you did not get even 2-3 percent?”, he asked.

He found fault with N Chandrababu Naidu for not getting the revenue deficit from the Centre completely. Though the revenue deficit was Rs.16000 crores, the state got only Rs.3000 crores and what the Chief Minister  was doing for the last four years, he questioned.

Similarly, had the Centre executed the works of Polavaram project, they would have spent all the money and completed it before the stipulated time. Since, Naidu has taken over the execution, it is his failure for not getting funds.

While Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra got Central assistance towards farmers loan waiver scheme, Chief Minister  has failed to get funds. With the inefficiency of the state government it could not get the Agricultural University, Petroleum University, Tribal University, National Disaster management Institute, Metro rail projects, Dugarajapatnam port etc.,

He urged the people to make the bandh call by YSRCP on July 24 a success in protest against the attitude of BJP, TDP and Congress towards the State.
