QIS Institute of Technology organises mega blood camp in Ongole

Ongole: The secretary and correspondent of QIS Institute of Technology, Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy announced that they organised a mega blood camp in the college on Thursday.

He said that the president of Nidamanuri Educational Trust, Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao participated as the chief guest to the blood camp jointly organized by the Lions Club Ongole, RIMS Hospital, Red Cross Society of Prakasam district and NSS division of QIS IT. 

Kalyan Chakravarthy announced that 76 students and staff members donated blood in the camp and showed their humanity.

Nageswara Rao said that by donating blood, one could save the lives of the people in emergency. 

He said that a large number of people were dying due to non-availability of blood and advised the students and staff members to donate blood at least once in their lifetime. 

He expressed happiness over the response from the students and staff for the blood donation camp and appreciated their participation. 

He said that education doesn’t mean restricting the students to classrooms but the process of involving them in social service activities like blood camps. 

He distributed donor certificates to the participated students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

The QISIT principal Dr CV Subbarao, Medical Officer from RIMS Ongole Dr Suneetha, Medical Officer from Red Cross Society Dr K Shammy Kasturi, president of Lions Club Ongole B Radha Krishna Murthy, K Singaiah, M Sivakumar and others participated in the blood donation camp.
