Modern amenities at police stations: Deputy CM N Chinarajappa

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa said that all police stations across the 13 districts in the state would be provided with latest amenities to cater to the changing needs.

The Home Minister disclosed this while participating in the Vanam-Manam programme at police quarters here on Saturday. 

The minister, along with Kakinada Lok Sabha MP Thota Narasimham, participated in the programme. 

The Deputy Chief Minister also opened 20-bed dormitory and a volleyball court on the DPO premises.

Elaborating on the amenities, Chinarajappa said that new DPOs at Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram and Anantapur have been completed. 

New buildings with latest amenities were provided to 45 police stations in the state, the Deputy CM said. 

He disclosed that measures taken up to construct quarters to officers and other personnel in the police department in a phased manner in the state.  
As part of strengthening of police force in the state,new appointments have been taken up on a massive scale and separate divisions would be formed. 

As a part of modernisation of the police force, tech towers are being provided to increase the overall efficiency of police force, he added. 

SP  Vishal Gunni, ASPs Sridhar Rao, Chakravarti, DSPs S Murali Mohan, Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, Ch. V Rama Rao, Pallapu Raju and others were present at the programme.
