Safe water tank inaugurated at Uppuluru

Undi: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa inaugurated a protected water tank meant for drinking purposes, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore at Uppuluru on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinarajappa lauded Rajya Sabha member T Sitaramalakshmi for taking up Janmabhoomi works with a funding of Rs 10 crore.

He also unveiled statue of her father Y Venkataratnam on the tank bund. He reminded that Venkataratnam worked as sarpanch from 1936 to 1952 and he strived for the development of the tank during his tenure.

Undi MLA V Sivarama Raju, MLC M Venkata Satyanarayana Raju and RTC regional chairman M Parthasarathi hailed the contribution of the MP for the village. The villagers felicitated the MP on the occasion.
