Government interested in homeo medicine: MP Maganti Murali Mohan

Rajamahendravaram: MP Maganti Murali Mohan has said that the state government is giving top priority for medical education and also concentrating on Homeo medical education as many people are showing interest on Homeo medicine.

He laid foundation stone to post-graduation block of Dr Allu Ramalingaiah Government Homeo Medical College along with K Surekha (wife of ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi) on Friday. The block will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore.

 Later, he said megastar and Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi had sanctioned an amount of Rs 2 crore from his MP LADS for the building.

The construction of the building will be completed in 10 months. Government college and Homeo college exchanged their lands for the construction of the new building.

City MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana said Dr Allu Rama Lingaiah though belongs to Palacol town, donated an amount of Rs 50,000 for the college two decades ago who was interested in homeo medicine.

Godavari Urban Development Authority chairman Ganni Krishna underlined the need of good hostels with all facilities to the students.

Konidela Surekha assured to extend their cooperation for the development of Homeo college which was named after her father Dr Allu Ramalingaiah.

Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai, Chiranjeevi sister Vasantha Lakshmi, Homeo college principal Dr P Surya Bhagavan, SC Corporation director K Naveen Kumar, corporator T Uma Devi and others were present.
