Rajamahendravaram: MP Maganti Murali Mohan revealed on Sunday that he is not contesting in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections from Rajamahendravaram constituency, to focus more on his trust activities. He clarified that the TDP high command has not denied ticket to him.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Murali Mohan exuded confidence that he can win the seat with two lakh majority of votes if he contests, as against one lakh votes majority in 2014 elections. He clarified that his daughter-in-law Roopa would also not contest elections.

He said plans are afoot to provide free education to about 1,000 poor students from the trust along with other activities. Though not contesting in the elections, he would continue in politics and discharge duties as an ordinary partyman, Murali Mohan said.

The Rajamahendravaram MP said the State’s development is possible only with Chandrababu Naidu. He said he was ready to take up any work that the party assigns to him. He called upon party activists to further strengthen the party and ensure its victory in the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Murali Mohan listed out development works that were executed in Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha constituency during the last five years.
