Workshop on fluid mechanics from tomorrow in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The Mathematics department of KBN College would organise a two-day ‘Science Academy Lecture Workshop of Fluid Mechanics’ on the college premises on October 4 and 5, according to the college president, V Hemachandra Rao and secretary R Srinivasulu.

Hemachandra said that Fluid Mechanics was related to both Mathematics and Botany subjects and there was a need to study in depth on it.

He said that this workshop would guide the students to have in-depth knowledge on the latest advancement in this field. 

He recalled that the Central government was moving forward with a slogan ‘Make in India’.

Srinivasulu said that Indian Academy of Science, Indian National Science Academy and the National Academy of Science would jointly organise this workshop.

He said that on the first day of the workshop, Prof P Kandaswamy from Bharathiar University would attend as the chief guest. 

Prof Satyajitrai of IIT Madras, Prof Srinadh, Sri Venkateswara University Mathematics HoD, B Sripadmavathi of Hyderabad Central University and a few other professors would participate in the workshop. 
Lecturers and students from various places would participate in the workshop, Srinivasulu added.

College principal Dr V Narayana Rao, vice-principal Dr K Naveen Kumar, Mathematics HoD M Venkateswara Rao and others were present.
