20 crore released for airport oustees

Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju informed that the state government has released Rs 20 crore for compensation to the farmers, who handed over their lands for the greenfield airport at Dagadarthi.

He reviewed with the officials on Thursday and said the amount has to be distributed to the beneficiaries within seven days. He said still 318 acres have to be acquired for the airport and asked status of land availability in the area. Senior revenue officials were present.
