Police stations to get facelift: Chinarajappa

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa has said that the modernisation of police stations will be taken up in the State with technology updating to suit to the changing policing needs. Speaking to media after the inauguration of newly constructed Sarpavaram police station building along with DGP RP Thakur on  Wednesday, he said that special attention would be paid to curb cyber crimes. 

Turning his attention towards promotion of senior police officers, he said the pending promotions for 1989- 1991 batch officers will be taken up soon. In addition to this, the promotions for women constables as SIs was also under consideration, he reveled.
