Chinarajappa lays stone for ACP office building
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Home Minister and Deputy chief minister N Chinarajappa laid foundation stone and performed bhoomi puja for north ACP office in Yendada, Arilova Police station near Hanumanthawaka Junction, Maharanipeta police station, CP office complex and DCP office in the in the city on Tuesday.
The funds for the buildings are being provided by Divi’s Lab. The ACP office would cost Rs 2 crore, Arilova police station Rs 5 crore, Maharanipeta PS Rs 5 crore, CP office complex Rs 20 crore and DCP office Rs 4.5 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister said 16 new buildings for police department were coming up with an estimated cost of Rs 75 crore. He said serious efforts were being made to prevent crime by using high end technology and skilled manpower.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, DGP of Andhra Pradesh RP Thakur, commissioner of police Mahesh Chandra Laddha and Divi’s Laboratories chairman Dr Murali Krishna Prasad were present on the occasion.
