Gobbemmala Panduga organised with fervour
Nellore: City Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz said that visitors had enjoyed a lot during the Gobbemmala Panduga at River Penna as the Corporation had provided all amenities with Rs 25 lakh this year.
The Mayor visited the banks of the river on Thursday and interacted with the devotees, who have attended the festival. Aziz said that they had provided lighting facility, stage to organise cultural programmes, sanitation and walking track for devotees this year. He also explained that they had arranged lighting facility to all central dividers on the city roads to mark the festival environment.
The Mayor said that the Gobbemmala Panduga is being conducted after Kanuma festival on the banks of river Penna every year. Corporation has been giving equal priority for every festival in the city, he stated. Corporation officials were also present.
