Telangana State to replicate ban on plastic use

Hyderabad: Recently the GHMC in its official release said, people to avoid using plastics and use cloth bags. But the UK commissioner has got an advice for TS government which says, in responding to a tweet by Swachh Rajendra Nagar, asking people to “Say no to plastic bag”, Mr. Fleming tweeted, “Replicating (plastic ban) in India will be huge but if one Indian state led the way, wouldn’t that be something? ”

It may be mentioned here that the Telangana government has imposed a ban on short-life Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and chlorinated plastics in the state. The official release by GHMC which was earlier done on Friday Jan 12, saying, government of Telangana has decided on manufacture, supply, sale and usuage of small size national flags made by paper, usuage of plastic or other substances in city. 

All the heads if the departments and all the authorities and organisers have been told to strictly follow the government instructions on it. Any deviation of the rules and disrespect to Honour of the National Flag will be viewed seriously and necessary action will be initiated against the concerned, being it is cognizable offence, said GHMC.
