Actions against illegal dumping of construction wastage
Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to take severe action against vehicles dumping wastage of building construction in nalas, tanks and public places instead of selected places.
Addressing a special meeting with representatives of CREDAI, TREDAI and other real estate developers, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan warned severe action against illegal dumping of wastage from June 5. He also asked them to register their vehicles with an agency of Hyderabad C and D waste project. The Mayor said that they are going to charge Rs 342 for one metric ton of construction wastage.
Bonthu Rammohan announced that they are going to establish C and D Enforcement cell with 400 personnel to avert illegal dumping in nalas, tanks and public places. He warned to seize the illegal vehicles after June 5. GHMC Vigilance Enforcement director Viswajit Kampati, chief city planner Devender Reddy, additional commissioner Ravinder was present.
