Nallakunta: Several Dalit organisations on Friday called for utilisation of the Dr BR Ambedkar Shatabdi Bhavan in Sanjivayyanagar for the uplift of SC communities.

Leaders of the organisations told press persons here that one Dr Swamy Alwal had been using the Bhavan for the betterment of Dalits, after donating 300 sq ya in 1982 to the SC Rights Society. The Bhavan was inaugurated in 1991 by the Municipal Corporation. However, the SC representatives of the colony had handed over the Bhavan back to Dr Swamy in 2012, who maintained it till date.
