Samanvaya samithis to help farmers secure MSP for produce
Yadadri: Farmers Coordination committees State Chairman and Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukender Reddy here on Tuesday saidthe government has formed Rythu Samanvaya Samithies (RSS) to make agriculture profitable.
He visited Yadadri temple and performed special puja to Lord Laxmi Narasimha swamy at Balalayam along with his family members. Later speaking to the media, he said members of the RSS would help the farmers in getting minimum support pricefor their farm produce. Along with Agriculture Extension Officers, based on soil test, the members would recommend farmers about the crops to be cultivated in their lands to get good returns. As a part of government free insurance scheme to farmers , insurance of Rs 5 lakh eaach will be provided to 72 lakh farmers in the State, he said.
The RSS teams in coordination with Agriculture officials would help the farmers in providing required seeds , pesticides and encourage the farmers to go in for mechanisation to get good income. As a part of promised financial aid of Rs 8,000 per acre per farmer per year, State government is going to allocate Rs 12,000 crore in this year’s budget, he added.
He exuded confidence that Yadadri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple would get international recognition similar on a par with the Tirumala Venateshwara temple. In this programme, TRS Farmer wing State president Gongidi Mahender Reddy,Mother Dairy Chairman Gutha Jithender Reddy, Karre Venkataiah and others participated.
