Move to ensure smooth conduct of budget meet
Hyderabad: Council Chairman K Swamy Goud and Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary asked the officials concerned to ensure foolproof arrangements for the smooth conduct of budget session, starting from Monday. The Council Chairman and Assembly Speaker reviewed the arrangements for the Assembly session on Thursday.
Asking the police officials to be alert, Swamy Goud said, “The police have successfully managed to maintain the law and order and safety during various festivals in State without use of force. This time too, they should lay special focus on providing such services during the Assembly sessions.”
Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary added that he expects the House would run smoothly like earlier sessions. He wanted the officials to ensure convenience to members of the House and make necessary arrangements. However, he said that the situation would be different this time.
Chief Secretary S K Joshi asked the officials to make sure the answers were sent immediately. The officials should get in touch with the Assembly Secretary and ensure answers to questions raised by the members were sent as soon as possible.
Adding that department was taking all security measures, DGP M Mahender Reddy informed that about 2,000 police personnel would be deployed on the Assembly premises. Later, the Speaker held discussions with the Legislative Secretary V Narsimha Charyulu on 30 different subjects for smooth conduct of the session.
