Haj Committee selects 17 Khadim-ul-Hujjaj
Hyderabad : The Telangana State Haj committee has selected 17 Khadim-ul-Hujjaj (Haj Officers) through draw of lots to accompany Haj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to help and assist them.
The selection was made in the presence of SHC Chairman Mohammed Masihullah Khan, Wakf Board chairman and MLC Mohammed Saleem, members of Haj Committee and senior officials.
Out of the 17 selected KUH nine belong to Hyderabad, two to Jagtial, one each to Adilabad, Nirmal, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Karimanagar and Jangaon districts.
The SHC Chairman directed the selected KUH to work sincerely and serve the Haj pilgrims in a proper manner, he said and added that if anybody fails to work satisfactorily action would be taken against him.
Mohammed Saleem said that if any Khadim-ul-Hujjaj feels that he is unfit to discharge duties, he should cancel his seat.
SHC Executive Officer Prof. S A Shukoor said that four candidates were selected under Waiting List. He further said that if any selected KUH had performed Haj or Umrah during past three years he should pay 2,000 Saudi Riyals as per new Saudi rules.
