Jobs to artistes: HC asks KCR govt told to submit records
Hyderabad: The High Court at Hyderabad has directed the Telangana government to submit all records pertaining to taking into government service of 550 cultural artistes.
The Division Bench comprising of Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice J Uma Devi gave a direction to this effect on Tuesday, while hearing a petition filed one Jukanti Ramesh of Tanguturu village in Aler mandal of Yadadri-Bhongir district challenging the action of the government in taking these artistes into government service in 2015 and paying them a salary of Rs 24,514 per month without following due process of recruitment i.e. issuing notification, receiving applications and conducting test etc.
The petitioner alleged that these appointments were made on nomination basis. The Division Bench perused the counter affidavit filed by the government during the hearing on Tuesday. Consequently, it directed the government to submit the entire record pertaining to these appointments and adjourned the matter.
