Miryalguda ( Nalgonda): Denied ticket by his party, TRS dissident leader Alugubelli Amarender Reddy has decided to as an Independent candidate from Miryalguda constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Amarender Reddy, who had fought the election on the TRS ticket in the 2014 Assembly election, from Miryalguda in 2014 polls, on Wednesday took out a huge rally with thousands of his supporters from Kukkadam to Miryalaguda town.

Addressing the gathering, he said the party workers are disappointed as the party supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao is ignoring the leaders and cadre who have been with the party since the time of the Telangana State movement and at difficult times.

He raised his objection over the allocating party ticket to Bhaskar Rao, who won on the Congress ticket but later shifted his loyalty to TRS for his vested interest. Meanwhile, Amarender Reddy’s close associates said that their leader is going to contest as rebel candidate in the upcoming election.

Amarender Reddy contested twice from Mirylaguda Assembly constituency. In 2009 he contested from film star Chiranjeevi‘s Praja Rajyam party and in 2014 he contested from TRS party and lost election to then Congress candidate Nallamothu Bhasker Rao by 6,000 votes.
