Collector inspects poll arrangements

Mancherial: District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri said here on Friday that all steps were being taken to ensure free and fair elections. Speaking after BEL engineers explaining the working of EVMs, to the representatives of various political parties, she stated that 1,120 EVMs, 830 control units and 920 Voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) brought from Bengaluru have been kept ready for the elections.

The Collector inspected the CC cameras and metal detectors to be deployed at the polling booths. Among those present were Joint Collector Y Surender Rao, Assistant Collector Snehalata, Nodal Officer Shyamala Devi, officials of various departments.
