Awareness camps helped enrolment of voters

Kothagudem: The Election Commission Examiner A Ashok expressed his satisfaction over progress of the enrolment programme in the district. On Wednesday, he conducted a meeting with the District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini and other officers and political leaders at the Collectrate.

He interacted with the political leaders and told them about the enrolment programme in the villages across the district.  He said every eligible individual of the district is being enrolled as a voter. 

Because of large scale awareness programme conducted during the month of September a large number of new voters were enrolled in the district. In the agency villages, Kalajatha programmes were conducted to create awareness among the villagers, he added.  

He asked political parties’ representatives to tell the people about the working of the voting machines. He also directed officials to conduct the awareness programme regarding use of EVM machines across the district. The Returning Officers of all constituencies and representatives of political parties attended the programme.
