Vehicles, cheques distributed to fishermen
Suryapet: Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy stated that Telangana schemes have been replicated by other States in the country. On Friday, the Minister distributed nets, subsidised vehicles and loan cheques to fishermen of the district at a programme held at Suryapet.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been implementing several welfare schemes for the people of the State.
The Chief Minister has established MBC Corporation for the welfare of nomads and have been fulfilling the promises, especially 2 BHK houses to eligible poor, he said, adding that the State government has been encouraging caste-based professions to strengthen the rural economy.
Collector Amoy Kumar, SP Venkateshwarlu, Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, District Library Chairman Nimmala Srinivas Goud, officials and beneficiaries attended the programme.
